  • First practice is next Friday, November 22 at 6pm at EPHS Activity Center 4.
  • The schedule for games is not currently out, but the practice schedule is up.   That being said, I have some info on how it will work.  I'll also send a couple of notes when we first start to make sure you don't miss the first practices.  
  • From the Team Page you can click Schedule on the left to get the full schedule.  I highly recommend clicking the Options button on the right to download the calendar into another format.  For instance, I clicked Calendar Feed and chose Google to add it to our family's Google Calendar.  This allows us to set up email and pop-up notifications of reminders.
  • This year we're playing in Southwest League, which is in coordination with Chanhassen, Chaska, Wayzata, and Minnetonka.  A little under half of our games will be against those 4 cities, with the remainder against other EP teams.
  • We'll typically practice every Friday and will be playing a game every Saturday.  There is some variation in the practice day, as you can see on the calendar. Our practices will be at the EPHS Activity Center, with one practice on December 3rd at Oak Point.  Most of our games will also be at the EPHS Activity center, but sometimes we'll play "on the road" in other cities. 
  • Please let me know if you will not be able to make a game or practice.  I pride myself on having good plans in place for both, and those plans change if players aren't there.  It's no problem if your son will miss a session, I just like to know in advance. 



  • As coaches we have three key objectives:
    • FUN:  Above all, we want your son to enjoy playing basketball.
    • FITNESS:  This is a great way to get our sons up and moving and we'll have lively, active, sometimes tiring practices.  Nothing extreme, but we'll keep it moving.
    • FOCUS:  We recognize that the boys are still learning the game and there is a variety skill levels on the team.  All we ask of them is that they treat their teammates, referees, opponents, and coaches with respect.   We will stress sportsmanlike behavior as well as listening and paying attention. Please assist us in stressing the importance of being a good teammate who is not a disruption.
  • I welcome your input.  Please let me know if you'd like to see something done differently or if you have a question.



  • Plan on arriving at the games 10 minutes early.  The games start right on time and the kids need time to warm up. Additionally, if your child is scheduled to play the first shift and you're not there on time, your child will lose one of his shifts. 
  • Please have your child change shoes after you enter the buildings.  Wearing the same pair of shoes from outside onto the gym floor can make it slippery and dangerous. 
  • There are only 3 balls issued to us as a team.  I'll bring a couple each session as well, but we can always use more.  If your child has a 29.5" ball (full size) please feel free to bring it, but don't feel obligated.
  • Each game we'll need someone to run the scoreboard or keep score.  I have made up a rotation sheet for this.  PLEASE REVIEW THIS SHEEThttps://docs.google. com/spreadsheets/d/ 1P1KiEH0HtlleB7_8ho0OYC_ m8MN1oazT2te5W8qhZBg/edit?usp= sharing  I have assigned each family 1 or 2 games.  If you cannot help one game, please switch with another family and let me know.  
  • Please remember to have your child bring a water bottle to games and practices.  This prevents them from having to leave the gym to get water.  If you bring a disposable water bottle, please make sure it gets picked up.
